4 Can or must the matrimonial property regime be registered?
4.1. Do one or more matrimonial property registers exist in your country? Where?
In Austria there is no special register for marriage contracts or other agreements of the spouses and no registration obligations. Spouses of entrepreneurs can demand to have the marriage contract recorded in the Register of Companies, in order to make their rights opposable to creditors of the company (§ 36 Unternehmensgesetzbuch, UGB).
