7 Does your national law provide a special matrimonial property regime for multi-national couples?
Apart from the traditional matrimonial property regimes, all spouses may also choose the Franco-German regime of an optional community of accrued gains with no need for one of the spouses to be a French or German national (see point 3.1). German law does not lay down any specific matrimonial property regime for international couples.
